The
search feature is very nice and very simple.
Search by last name of the couple or individual having
the baby, and also by first name. The example of
the babies 'r us registry finder is to the left. (Click
to visit the actual 'Baby Registry Search' function on
babiesrus.com). This will allow you to
find any registry in the system.
You
can also search by City, State or country, and filter by
first name. The other nice 'modern' feature:
the ability to search on email. We like this
feature: more and more you'll find people being
identified by their email address, so kudos to Amazon
for adding this feature.
You
can also search by registry number? I'm not sure
who actually uses this feature, but it is there!
One issue we ran into: We
were notified by a local Babies"R"Us store that purchases
online don't always hit the reports inside the local
Babies R US stores reporting systems.
Thus, someone might buy one item online, but someone may
still view a report in the store showing the item is not
purchased. The delay seemed to be a day or two.
Don't know if this is still the case in 2005, but we'll
monitor. |
